All staff, both management and employees, have their part to play in preventing fire in the workplace.
All employers have a statutory duty to review their risk assessments when necessary under the Fire Precautions (Workplace) Regulations 1997 (as amended) and also under the Management of Health and Safety at Work Regulations 1999.

Fire Protection Association
The Fire Protection Association is the UK’s national fire safety organisation, one of 28 similar national bodies worldwide. It was established in 1946 and has strong support from the insurance industry, primarily through the Association of British Insurers and Lloyd’s. This site provides advice and information, leaflets on fire risk assessments, general fire safety advice for businesses, and business specific publications.
