The Trading Standards Service (Fair Trading Team) of East Sussex County Council provides an advice service for both businesses and consumers. It also enforces a wide range of legislation including:
Civil and Contract Law as it affects dealings between businesses and consumers
Consumer credit
Package holidays
Restrictive statements
Unfair contract terms
In addition three other teams cover the areas of Metrology, Food and Agriculture, and Crime.
